Enter Sommerfest – this summer’s ultimate Bavarian weekend in Dubai by the city’s first Biergarten and Wirtshaus, Ernst! Having opened just a few months ago, Ernst is making out to be the season’s liveliest spot to enjoy one, two or five steins of authentic German brew, warm pretzels, rich German sausages, pork knuckles and more. For two very special weekends on July 28th till July 30th, and 25th to 27th August. Ernst have once again flown out the loved German band from Munich, Gaudiblosn, to treat guests to a true German experience.
Starting the weekends off in the best way, the talented musical ensemble will reunite on the stage at Ernst for a few brilliant sets of Bavarian and English hits to get the crowd energised. From 8pm till midnight, Gaudiblosn will take charge of the soundtrack surrounding the German venue, ensuring every guest dances the night away. The troupe is led by lively singer Verena Fischer who has taken the international stage; talented guitarist Christian Grumann who brings more than 30 years of musical experience; and traditional Styrian accordion player Richard Huber who has played at Oktoberfests across the globe.
Guests can also immerse themselves into Bavarian culture with a laid-back yet lively brunch – Ernst Bavarian Fest. On Saturday, July 30th and Saturday 15 August, from 6pm till 10pm, guests can dine their brunch menu inclusive of a charcuterie board to start with served at every table, followed by their already famous pork knuckle and sausages served buffet-style, and washing it all down with their choice of free-flowing drinks. A sweet ending follows – apple strudel with ice cream and kaiserschmarn apple sauce and berry compote will be served.
One of three packages are available to choose from – a soft drinks and food package for AED250; an entry package including food, house spirits, bottled brews, red and white grape for AED350; and a draught and bubbly package including Paulaner on draught, glasses of Moet, house spirits, bottled brews, red and white vino for AED450.
Guests will be encouraged to take part in fun games including the Stein holding competition, German dance offs, and win prizes for best dressed, extra points for lederhosen! The venue is also running a very special raffle, with a chance to win a trip for two to Munich to go to Oktoberfest!
Ernst is located at the newly launched 25hours Hotel One Central, near the picture-perfect Museum of the Future. The venue welcomes guests between the hours of 12pm-Midnight from Sundays to Thursdays, and till 1am on Fridays and Saturdays. À la carte is not available between 4pm and 10pm on Saturdays.
