The new Stags View resaurant at Knock Castle

(TRAVPR.COM) Perthshire, Scotland - 11th January 2010 - Since the purchase of the property in 2008, Knock Castle has invested a considerable amount on refurbishments and renovations to transform this stately mansion into a luxury hotel and spa. The Henderson Group bought the property in December 2007 for over £2 million and they have since undertaken a £1.5 million refurbishment to the property.

Set in the beautiful hills of the Strathearn Valley and only an hour's drive from Scotland's major cities, Knock Castle Hotel and Spa offers an oasis of tranquility. The facilities now include a state of the art gymnasium, which has just been extended, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room, 12 treatments rooms, fine dining restaurant, private dining facilities, residents cinema, 30 luxury bedrooms to fit all budgets from standard through to suite, as well as a separate self contained lodge property for larger parties.

In December 2009, they opened their new rooftop restaurant, the ‘Stag's View’, one of a kind in Scotland with panoramic views for miles. Their menus will continue to use the best of Scottish ingredients and we will continue to strive to offer their customers the best possible spa, hotel and dining experience.

Chef Patron Jason Henderson features only the finest local produce. The style of cookery is Scottish contemporary with heavy influence on using only the finest Scottish produce and organic where possible.
