New discount card first to offer unlimited savings potential
(TRAVPR.COM) CANADA - 20th January, 2010 - There’s a new and better way for leisure travelers to save money in Orlando. Following months of research, the founders of Eat and Play Card™ designed a new discount card that fully reflects how a typical tourist thinks, plans and spends. In comparison, coupons and other existing discount programs typically better reflect the interests of the companies involved rather than a tourist wanting to save some money.
Valid for 90 days and for use by up to four people, Eat and Play Card covers most vacation expense categories, including: dining, shopping, attractions, activities and rental cars. With no blackouts and entirely percentage-based discounts that let cardholders save in direct proportion with their spending, Eat and Play Card is the first and only no-limit savings program for leisure travelers.
“Leisure travelers told us what they dislike most about existing discount options are the hassle and embarrassment of clipping and using coupons, fine print like blackout dates, and offers that simply don’t appeal or apply,” says Larry Raubach, Eat and Play Card’s co-founder and Director of Marketing & Channel Development. “Research identified 10 flaws common to other existing discount programs, so we designed Eat and Play Card to mitigate every one of those flaws”, Raubach says.
“Our strategy and approach have helped us attract top-tier participating Orlando merchants such as Macy’s, AVIS, McDonald’s, Tony Roma’s, Reebok Outlet Stores, McCormick & Schmick’s, Ponderosa, Buffalo Wild Wings, NBA City, Panera Bread, Gray Line Tours, Ripley’s Believe it or Not, WonderWorks, Gatorland and Arabian Nights, just to name a few”, says Chris Ritchie, a co-founder and Director of Merchant & Affiliate Relations. “And with discounts as high as 50%, the $25 cost can be recouped with just one visit to several of our participating merchants,” says Ritchie.
Currently available for Orlando, Eat and Play Card will be available for Las Vegas later this year and shortly thereafter for Miami, New York City, Waikiki/Honolulu, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
