Host agency welcomes largest group of new agents to Boot Camp 1.0 with both in-person and online attendees
(TRAVPR.COM) UNITED STATES - May 22nd, 2024 -
KHM Travel Group provided 83 new travel advisors with a wealth of knowledge and motivation at the spring Boot Camp 1.0 event. As the largest gathering of new agents for an educational event, attendees walked away with a greater confidence in their sales skills and a network of fellow travel advisors to keep in touch with.
KHM Travel Group understands the essential role that education plays as a travel agent builds their business. Along with comprehensive online courses, the host agency hosts four Boot Camp 1.0 events in Northeast Ohio throughout the year. New in 2024, the event was available to watch via livestream technology for those not able to attend in person.
Boot Camp 1.0 sessions included: Marketing Your "FAMcation," Qualifying Your Client to Cruise, The All-Inclusive Market, Introduction to Groups, A Journey Through Europe, and more. Because some lessons work better with hands-on practice, the event included activities where agents worked in pairs and small groups to research cruise and land scenarios.
Instructors from the KHM Travel Group Education Team walked agents through using the essential features of the company's robust CRM (client relationship manager), myTravelCRM. Each new agent receives access to this tool when they enroll. myTravelCRM is where agents enter their bookings for payment, track commissions, and manage all their client data. In addition to the basics, Boot Camp 1.0 sessions demonstrated how agents can send digital authorizations and email campaigns to clients through myTravelCRM.
"Nothing makes my team and I happier than seeing agents engaged in their learning. At Boot Camp 1.0, we witnessed agents become more confident in their understanding of the industry, their clients, and the way KHM Travel Group works with them to help them achieve success, no matter how they define it," said Education Manager Carolyn Orf.
KHM Travel Group's supplier and industry partners also contributed their expertise with presentations geared specifically for someone new to the industry or their brand. CLIA's Vice President of Industry and Trade Relations Charles Sylvia, ECC joined Carolyn Orf for a sit-down interview where he explained the powerful value of travel advisors in the cruise community. Charles attends every Boot Camp 1.0.
"When we talk about the cruise industry, we're talking about travel advisors. 72% of all cruises are booked through travel advisors worldwide so you are absolutely our most important, most critical, and most valuable distribution channel," said Charles Sylvia, ECC.
