(TRAVPR.COM) UNITED KINGDOM - 10th February, 2010 - Highgate House in Creaton has been chosen as the venue for Heart FM’s Trekkers’ Ball in March. Producers and executives from Northamptonshire’s commercial radio station are heading for China in May to raise funds for the Have a Heart Trek China Appeal.
Heart Breakfast's Jagger & Woody will be hosting the evening and Heart drivetime presenter Dan Fox will be entertaining guests with a Club Classics disco later in the evening. There will be a three course meal prepared by Highgate House’s award-winning chefs as well as a charity raffle and auction.
Highgate House is a Sundial Group conference, training and event venue just a few miles out of Northampton and it regularly hosts events to support local charities. Last year its Afternoon of Jazz raised £750 for local charity CAN, while it also hosted a themed Pink Ball in aid of Cancer Research UK last November.
Arianne Merry, Anna Vitiello and Fiona Taylor are the ladies from Heart who will be walking along the Great Wall. The money raised by the team from Northamptonshire will stay in the county, supporting local causes. This year’s focus is helping children who experience the negative effects of abuse, poverty, disability, homelessness or illness.
“We are very grateful to Highgate House for hosting our ball for us, and we know it’s going to be a great party. Tickets are just £40 so please log on to www.heart.co.uk to come and help us raise as much money as possible for local children.”
