After subsidizing its tariffs for the upcoming October 2012-April 2013 season, the packages for the Deccan Odyssey train have been further discounted.

IRCTC and Maharashtra Tourism have together introduced minimum 5% discounts on select departures for their flagship luxury train, Deccan Odyssey. The already subsidized tariffs will be further discounted, in a bid to make the Deccan Odyssey journeys accessible to a wider spectrum of guests. It must be noted that the tariffs were earlier USD 315/ day onwards (triple occupancy).

This will be, however, soon revised due to the price cuts implemented. The train has already become quite popular with luxury travel aficionados and has received fantastic reviews on various international travel forums.
