Cheval Passion will return to the Parc des Expositions in Avignon, France this January, bringing with it more than 1,000 horses and over 200 exhibitors. The line-up for Cheval Passion this year makes it clear that the 26-year-old festival will once again be living up to its reputation as the third largest such event in Europe.

(TRAVPR.COM) UK - January 11th, 2013 - The 2013 Cheval Passion will feature 90 hours of horse-based performances. These include the daily Gala des Crinières d'Or, which is an event tradition that has been delighting festivalgoers for 20 years.

Also present at the Avignon showground during the festival will be the Iberian Horse Masters. Throughout the event, which lasts from 16th January until 20th January, visitors will be able to wander through 12 different display grounds and watch horses and riders in as many as a dozen corrals.

Special events at Cheval Passion include Children’s Day on 17th January. A variety of workshops will take place on this day, providing thousands of local children with information and experiences related to the equestrian lifestyle. This theme will continue on 18th January, when secondary school pupils from the local area will be introduced to employment opportunities in the horse world.

On 19th January, horses available for sale will be shown to the public; on this day and the following day there will be events structured around the showing of prized animals for breeding purposes, including some famous horses.

Tickets are available online and in person; attendance at the Crinières d'Or gala requires an additional fee. Visitors will be pleased to learn that children under 12 are eligible to receive discounted admission. Groups consisting of ten or more individuals can also receive a discount, although prior booking is required.
