Dr. Sky® is to host the Star Flyer the week of Dec 1-8, 2013 for a Comet Cruise. Observers will see Comet ISON before dawn and after dusk each day as the Star Flyer unfurls its’ acre of sails, sailing the Costa Rican Coast.

The latest predictions suggest a comet as large as Hale-Bopp, but then again, ”They are just predictions,” says Steve Kates who is the host of the Dr. Sky® radio program which launches from News Talk 92.3 KTAR Phoenix, AZ and is heard on many affiliates throughout the nation. Steve regularly gives talks throughout Arizona on Astronomy and is a frequent television guest on the subject of the "sky." Steve will be giving daily lectures on the sky along with leading comet observation and photography.
The cruise on the Star Flyer begins Sunday December 1st in Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica. On Monday you will be at sea, observing the comet at both dawn and dusk. Sail this week to: San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua, Playa de Coco, Costa Rica, Cuanjiniquil, Playa Flamingo, Islas Tortugas and Puerto Caldera. With five full days ashore you will have time to go horseback riding, zip-lining, go boating on a river, take a water slide down a mountain, climb volcanos, buy coffee or soak in hot springs. Costa Rica is for active vacationers, but then again you may just sit on the ship and smell the salt air!
