(TRAVPR.COM) PORTUGAL - February 7th, 2013 - Lisbon -- Located in an historic 1845 building from, the, Bairro Alto Hotel in Lisbon reopened February 1 with renovated rooms, public areas, restaurant and boutique. It 5-star service remains the same.

The Bairro Alto Hotel underwent renovation in an investment of approximately € 600,000. Every hotel rooms as well as all public spaces were refurbished allowing for even more comfort and luxury – and featuring new furnishing and modern touches.

The restaurant, under a new name, offer sa totally different feel, but keeps its focus on typical Portuguese cuisine, with quality products and a kitchen under the charge of Chef Vasco Lello.

The Boutique was renovated and now has products by Elements Contemporary Jewelery in a venue dedicated to contemporary jewelry by both Portuguese and foreign designers.

During the two months renovation, employees of the Bairro Alto Hotel got extensive training and expertise in several areas, with the goal of raising increasingly service standards of quality Bairro Alto Hotel. A requirement that meets the standards of The Leading Hotels of the World, a network which the Bairro Alto Hotel is a member of since its opening.

Opened in 2005,in an 18th century building which was once the home of the famous 'Grand Hotel de L'Europe', Bairro Alto Hotel was the first boutique 5-star hotel in Portugal and is now a symbol of fine hospitality in the city of Lisbon.
