Alila Diwa Goa, a boutique Goa resort, set between the beautiful Majorda beach and the verdant rice terraces of Southern Goa, has launched Ayurveda Detox packages incorporating yoga, healthy cuisine, cycling tours, cooking classes and Ayurvedic treatments.

(TRAVPR.COM) INDIA - March 4th, 2013 - Ayurveda, an ancient Indian philosophy that advocates the ‘art of living wisely’, is a holistic system, focused on food, lifestyle, massage, yoga and herbal remedies to suit each & every individual. Following the Ayurveda concept that nature is made up of five elements – ether, air, fire, water and earth which in the human body together constitute  the three doshas – Vatha, Pitta and Kapha, the wellness team  at Alila Diwa Goa will guide guests to achieve a balance of the doshas to better their health.

Each package is individually tailored based on a consultation with an Ayurvedic doctor. A nutritionist will also analyse a guest’s nutritional needs to create healthy dosha specific cuisine. Guests at our beach resort in Goa are encouraged to participate in daily morning yoga, swimming, cycling tours and beach walks as alternative fitness activities.

In a sample seven day program, guests can indulge in two Ayurvedic treatments a day throughout the programme. Treatment highlights include, Shirodhara, which incorporates a continuous flow of warm medicated oil on the third eye to relax the mind, improve memory and regularise sleep patterns, and blood pressure. Udwartanam, is another unique treatment using dry herbal powders massaged into the skin to help reduce cellulite and also improve circulation, leaving the skin glowing.

The nine-room Spa Alila at Alila Diwa Goa features two couple treatment rooms which include a jacuzzi and chill shower, two ayurveda rooms and five single treatment rooms all of which include an individual  steam room and an outdoor patio with a day bed. Spa Alila's facilities also include a sauna, fitness centre and beauty salon.
