HOP OVER TO WATERVILLE VALLEY FOR EASTER

Whether it’s a sunrise mountainside service or an Easter egg hunt, the focus at this Easter will be on reconnecting with the family.

(TRAVPR.COM) USA - March 12th, 2013 - Waterville Valley, NH --There is a full basket of activities being offered at Waterville Valley Resort on Easter weekend. Whether it’s a sunrise mountainside service or an Easter egg hunt, the focus at this Easter will be on reconnecting with the family.

On Saturday, March 30, the Recreation Department is offering Paint Your Own Pottery from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Choose from a variety of ceramic pieces, paint it, then leave it with the Rec. Dept. to fire it and then return it to you. From 1-3 p.m. the Recreation Department is hosting the annual Easter Egg Coloring and Basket Decorating. All ages are welcome.

On Sunday, Mar. 31, start off the morning with a non-denominational Easter Sunrise Service at the top of Mt. Tecumseh. Ride up the White Peaks Express Chair and participate in a service overlooking the White Mountains. Free skiing and riding will follow the service until 7:45 a.m. After the service and free ski, head to Town Square with your family for Easter Brunch at The Lantern restaurant. Brunch will be served from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

The annual Easter Egg Hunt Frenzy will be held in Town Square. The Egg Hunt is hosted by the Recreation Department. The Easter Bunny will be on site as kids ages 12 and under search for hundreds of eggs hidden all around Town Square. Find an egg with a golden ticket and win great prizes. The cost is $5 per child. Children must register from 8:30 – 8:50 a.m. and the hunt begins promptly at 9 a.m.

Families are also invited to head up to the ski area for the Waterville Valley Resort Easter Egg Challenge. The first 100 participants (12 and under only) to register for free get to search for hidden eggs all over the mountain. Lucky winners with tickets inside their eggs can cash them in at the event table, located on the second floor of the Base Lodge. Make sure to register between 8 and 9 a.m. or be within the first 100 at the event table to pick up searching supplies. The hunt starts once you have registered – and you must be registered to claim the prizes.

The Moose is on the loose! Search for the hidden Bruce the Moose plush toy by testing out your mountain knowledge. He will be where you least expect him. Return him to the event table before 3 p.m. to claim your prize.
