(TRAVPR.COM) UNITED ARAB EMIRATES - March 26th, 2013 - Easter can be a whole lot of fun and the Dubai International Art Centre (DIAC) ismaking sure it is with two exciting Easter Workshops planned for children during the period.The first workshop will begin on Monday, April 1 and will run until Thursday, April 4, 2013. The second will start on Sunday, April 7 and will run until Thursday, April 11, 2013. Timings for both workshops are: 10.00am-1.00pm or 1.00-4.00pm.The fee for participation is: AED 140 per day/AED 375 for 3 days/ AED 600 for 5 days.

Ayesha Chen McKeever, Chairwoman of DIAC said, “With a wealth of history and symbolism behind it, crafts and creativity are an intrinsic part of Easter celebrations. The workshop content has been tailored for children of different age groups and will get them into the Easter spirit. From drawing and painting to decoupage, mixed media, sculpture, glass painting, felt art, mosaics, clay jewellery, cooking and much more – children will be given a free hand to experiment with various materials and techniques in creating their master pieces.”

Ayesha added: “Few centres match DIAC’s association with art, its friendly ambience and zeal for excellence. While the emphasis is on small-group teaching, the objective of the workshops is to channelize the latent talent of each young attendee into intrinsically unique expressions that will leave a positive and lasting impact.”

From its inception, the DIAC has been one of the emirate’s most respected institutions, having served the arts community in Dubai since 1976, providing space to learn, practise and display a wide repertoire of art activity.

The Dubai International Art Centre is located in Villa 27, Street 75B, off Jumeirah Road, behind Town Center.
