The results revealed that 34 per cent of respondents said free Wi-Fi was the number one factor in choosing a hotel, even for leisure breaks, rising to 56 per cent for those travelling on business. Only 11 per cent said they would be willing to pay for Internet access in a hotel, and overall, 66 per cent said free Wi-Fi was the amenity they most wished would become standard in all hotels during 2013.
