The World Trade Center Nanjing Sales Centerntroduces Antonio Citterio Exhibition showroom displaying modern masterpieces
(TRAVPR.COM) CHINA - April 2nd, 2013 - (Nanjing, China - 2013 April 2) Award-winning Italian furniture and Industrial design guru Antonio Citterio made a special trip to Nanjing on March 25, 2013 to officially open the Antonio Citterio Exhibition Hall, as well as, take part in the “Art without Borders” design forum. The trip was organized in conjunction with theConsulate General of Italy, the Italian Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Industry and Commerce – Nanjing and the World Trade Center Nanjingin association with the Italian weekly series of activities "Art Without Borders”.
Italian national treasure, Antonio Citterio represents the modern trend of Italian design with his work winning numerous awards including the prestigious Compass d’Oro. His works are also on public display in the New York Museum of Modern Art, the Centre Pompidou in the Paris Collection, the Bulgari Hotels and the Antonio Citterio Exhibition Hall in the Nanjing World Trade Center.
While in Nanjing, Antonio Citterio led a dialogue at the Nanjing Forum with honored guests; the Executive Director of F&T Group, Ms. Catherine Lee, and a well-known figure of the domestic construction industry, Mr. Zhang Lei. Mr. Antonio Citterio shared his design philosophy explaining the role of the World Trade Center Nanjing in the opening of the Museum and possible future projects in Nanjing. Mr. Citterio specifically discussed design concepts and future design trends to an audience from the fields of architecture, decoration, design and culture.
During Antonio Citterio’s visit to Nanjing there was an official ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the Antonio Citterio Exhibition Hall located in the World Trade Center Nanjing Sales Center . Works by on display include established pieces from the Hermes Matieres Collection BATTISTA, B & B Italia.

Antonio Citterio Profile
Antonio Citterio was born in 1950 in Italy. After his degree in architecture at the Milan Polytechnic University in 1972 he opened his own studio, focused on architecture and interior design. His representative works include the redesign of Italy Seregno old city of a neighborhood Esprit in Amsterdam, Antwerp and Milan headquarters, Vitra in a German plant as well as Milan's Antonio Fusco. In 1999, Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel jointly set up Antonio Citterio and Partners.
