African Parks who manage the reserve have now introduced a number of packages focused towards honeymooners and lovers of all things camping – those who fancy a night or three out under the stars. Packages start from just $65pp!

Honeymoon Packages

Ever thought about spending your honeymoon on safari? It may seem far from the normal celebratory holiday relaxing on a beach, but going on Safari in Malawi is a truly magical experience. Malawi as a destination also provides so much, and with Lake Malawi surrounded by sandy beaches and tranquil hide-aways you can always have the thrill of safari and the relaxation of the beach!
The Majete honeymoon packages are based around a stay at Thawale Lodge. Day 1 includes a cruise around the islands of the Shire RIver looking for hippos, crocodiles and bathing elephants as well as a chance to experience the stunning Kapichira Falls. Day 2 and its time to go wild – setting off early on a morning bush walk. A late lunch is served before hoping into a 4x4 on a game drive where you may get chance to see all of the Big five!

One night and two night packages are available.

Whether you’ve got one night or three nights to spend lapping up the wonders of Majete, African Parks have a number of packages that are tailored to the amount of time you’ve got available. All packages included a boat trip and game drive, but come with additional activities depending on the number of nights you stay. Regardless of the package you choose you won’t be getting out of an early morning bush walk – but nor would you want to!
