Authentic safari puts emphasis on unique game viewing experiences and top-notch luxury accommodations in the African bush
(TRAVPR.COM) USA - May 29th, 2013 - GLENDALE, Calif. – May 24, 2013 – Award-winning African travel outfitter Great Safaris has launched a new, high-end experiential safari to Kenya. On this new trip, travelers can explore the finest wildlife areas of Kenya with outstanding game rangers, take part in authentic cultural experiences and thoroughly relax in some of the most luxurious accommodations the country has to offer.
Great Safaris’ guests start off by spend three days in Meru National Park, Kenya's least crowded wildlife paradise, where they embark on game drives, walking safaris and a visit to a rhino conservation sanctuary. Travelers can also partake in fishing the nearby rivers and visits to the local Boran community. After an active morning in the bush there's no better feeling than coming back to camp and cooling off in the stunning infinity swimming pool watching the wildlife as it comes to drink from the Bisanadi River below this stunning bush camp.
Then, Great Safaris sends guests to the superb Laikipia region – Kenya’s heart of adventure – for two nights. Steeped in history, this is the region where many of the first European immigrants settled and established their sprawling farms. Guests can partake in daily game drives as well as a camel safari, horseback riding, fishing and other ranch activities. The ranch house was built in the 1940’s by Italian artisans, and in recent years was beautifully restored to accommodate up to fourteen people in the atmosphere of a private home. Seven cottages lie in the tropical garden overlooking Mt. Kenya and miles of unspoiled Africa, each with its own private verandah and ensuite bathroom. The lodge has a swimming pool, tennis court, and organic vegetable garden.
The grand finale of this authentic African safari takes place in the iconic Masai Mara, home to the Great Migration. Travelers will marvel at the game drives in open vehicles and four days of exceptional comfort in luxury tented accommodation. This experiential bush camp has a long working relationship with the local Maasai and exclusively employs highly trained Maasai guides for these once-in-a-lifetime safaris.
