(TRAVPR.COM) UNITED KINGDOM - May 31st, 2013 - Pumulani, Robin Pope Safaris, in the Lake Malawi National Park, has reopened for the season with a new management couple, Alex and Karien. Both South African but with international and regional exposure, they bring a fresh touch to the Pumulani team.
Cooking up a storm in the Pumulani kitchen is chef Elan who also is bringing an international flair to the team. The whole team also had intensive training workshops ahead of opening. It’s all systems go now and we look forward to another great season.
On the birding front, Pumulani guests were treated to a rare but cherished special sighting of a Pel's Fishing Owl, low up in a tree and right next to the beach. We look forward to more such sightings to add onto the existing variety of birdlife the lodge enjoys!
Pumulani, Robin Pope Safaris has also recently been awarded with “Certificate of Excellence for the Year 2013” by TripAdvisor, the world's largest travel site and a true point of reference for travellers. The award is based on reviews of users who have stayed at the properties. Robin Pope safaris would like to thank all Pumulani guests who have commented, giving their honest feedback on TripAdvisor.
Meanwhile, Robin Pope Safari’s are pleased to announce takeover of Stanley Safari Lodge in Livingstone. Stanley Safari Lodge was built by Reinout de Gruijter and his wife Vinciane Geelhand de Merxem, opening in 2004. The beautiful and unique ten-roomed lodge is only three kilometers from the Victoria Falls. Stanley Safari Lodge is a welcome addition to the Robin Pope Safaris family, enhancing the Zambian circuit and experience for the latter. This also means the usual five star Robin Pope experience with highly personalised service is now available in the two premier destinations of Zambia; offering a more seamless safari.
