(TRAVPR.COM) UNITED KINGDOM - June 10th, 2013 - Malawian Style is a safari and adventure driven destination management operator and agent focusing on what Malawi, Zambia and Mozambique have to offer and at the right price. They combine expertise and knowledge, with the fantastic lodges in the area supporting the other players in the industry and trying to provide the best all round holidays guests could possibly dream about.
This month they told us a bit about what they had been up to – an exciting Road Trip and new staff!
“May has been a great month for us; myself and Abby, one of our sales and marketing consultants, put one of our Malawian Style cars to the test journeying over 5,000 km to Durban and back for Indaba…remarkably we only had two flat tires along the way and passed through all boarders swimmingly! Our journey took us through Tete, Harare, Matobo national park, Durban, Tofo and Benguerra Island before returning back to base in Lilongwe. As usual, Indaba was a great success with loads of networking and many new contacts made!
After the long drive from Harare to Matobo National Park we were delighted to stay at the Big Cave Camp- it is so peaceful there we both agreed that this may be the best night sleep we have ever had. The number of stars you can see at night may even rival the night sky from Mumbo Island…maybe… regardless they are both incredible and dream locations for star gazers!
A first for us both was a visit to Benguerra Island where we were fortunate enough to have a two night stay at Azura to see for ourselves the outstanding service they provide and incredible accommodation. We certainly won’t be forgetting the beautiful sights of the pristine water and picturesque island from the helicopter transfer that’s for sure and cannot wait to start sending guests (in particular honeymooners) to experience the outstanding Azura.
We also have a new member of staff join the team, ‘Gift’. Gift joins us from Nqobile Safaris, on our sales team and will act as a backup driver/ tour guide in peak season. Gift has already proven to be a great addition to sales and marketing, introducing us to a volunteer organisation with whom we will be helping to enhance the volunteers experience by arranging South Luangwa exertions. By means of support we will be donating commission that would normally go to the agents to the children’s cause. Moving forward we will be looking for more opportunities like this to put more back into Malawi!
The School groups are back in June!! We are looking forward to the return visits of UK based schools this year and have offered our back garden as a temporary campsite for the kids to stay for a night. So….tonight we will be camping in the garden to give the tents a proper test run! “
