June 16th means only one thing: Father’s Day. A time for Dads to celebrate being a Dad with their loved ones. Shockingly, quite a few of us don’t actually remember it.

In the same survey, only 18% of people don't celebrate Mothering Sunday. Many will plump for giving their husband or father a mug, t-shirt or some other generic gift. What does he like?
When planning a Father’s Day break abroad, consider what your father or husband enjoys in their free time. If they enjoy music, for example, perhaps incorporate a day at a European music festival. Art lovers might love wandering through one of Paris’s many galleries. Those into collectibles could spend the day at a continental flea market. Think about sport
Many fathers and husbands love sport, so why not incorporate it into the holiday? Milan, Barcelona and Rome are popular city breaks that football fans will enjoy. A tour of AC Milan’s San Siro stadium might be just the thing for a footy fan. All these cities are vibrant places filled with great nightlife, shopping and attractions for the whole family to enjoy. 

Pack sensibly 
Don’t go overboard. Pack a sensible suitcase for the time you are travelling. Given that you might not be travelling for more than a few days, bring what you need. Weather can vary across destinations, so a lightweight jacket might be a good addition to the sun cream, hat and flip-flops. 

Don’t forget travel insurance
