The new package features a boat cruise on the Mekong River, a stop at the Pak Ou Caves, traditional Lao cultural activities and one night in a comfortable tent.

The Lodge is nestled in the green heart of the amazing Lao countryside, 30 kilometers upstream from Luang Prabang. The eco-friendly lodge offers an ideal hideaway for those with a penchant for nature and culture and who want to steer clear of everything from cars to mobile phone reception.  Every tent is designed and decorated in a classic safari style. However rustic the lodges look, with their sturdy thatch roofs, comfortable mattresses ensure a pleasant night’s sleep.

The newly launched Two-Day / One-Night Experience Package begins with a leisurely cruise up the mighty Mekong on a traditional long boat. The boat docks at the sacred Pak Ou Caves, and opens the door on thousands of gold Buddha statues beneath Pak Ou’s towering limestone cliff. On arrival at Kamu Lodge, the staff will greet new arrivals with a welcome drink and traditional Lao hospitality. After a quick check-in, there’s plenty of time for rest and relaxation in the super size tents with modern bathroom amenities and facilities.

For the adventurous, Kamu Lodge's experts will keep you busy and engaged all day long, planting and harvesting rice, panning for gold in the Mekong (anything you find is yours!), with traditional fishing (you can sample your catch for dinner!) and a thrilling archery contest if you don't mind getting your hands dirty. A stroll through the neighboring Kamu village will offer a deep look at life and culture of the hill tribe and interesting conversation with the locals.

At night, talented Kamu kids warm up the lodge with beautiful songs and traditional fireside dances.
