Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation is all set to give its world-famous luxury train, the inimitable Royal Rajasthan on Wheels, a splendiferous makeover to deliver a richer, royally enchanting experience to each guest.

(TRAVPR.COM) INDIA - July 2nd, 2013 - Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation is all set to give its world-famous luxury train, the inimitable Royal Rajasthan on Wheels, a splendiferous makeover to deliver a richer, royally enchanting experience to each guest. As it stands the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels is the epitome of Rajasthan’s royal magnificence. We feel we can more to enhance the feeling of total maharaja style luxury and are giving the train a thorough makeover, said Mr Vinod Ajmera, Managing Director, RTDC, while commenting the plans.

When asked about specifics of the makeover he said that the wooden floors would receive a covering of richly luxurious carpet to minimize noise. Further, he said that new doors will replace existing ones to give a new look. The makeover is not limited to interiors that will receive a complete refurbishment. The train speed will also be increased so that guests spend less time on wheels and enjoy more time at each destination, he added.

Royal Rajasthan on Wheels has always had encouraging booking since it started operating throughout Rajasthan, Varanasi, Khajuraho and Agra. Guests from all over the world make it a point to enjoy the princely experience on this train. We have always believed in giving full value and tariffs for 2013-14 will remain the same, as well the itineraries. For the next season we may look at revising the tariff but currently, we have plan to give a marvellous experience to our guests who are no doubt looking forward to an immensely memorable trip, said General Manager of Rajasthan Royal on Wheels.

Rajasthan Royal on Wheels takes royal luxury to new heights in its Bravura suite and the extraordinary suite, epitomes of princely luxury, carrying all the trappings of royalty, making it a veritable palace on wheels. It is like travelling back in time as the train takes guests from Delhi to Jodhpur, Udaipur, Chittaurgarh, Sawai Madhopur, Jaipur, Khajuraho, Varanasi and the Taj Mahal. The services, facilities on the train such as bar, lounge, spa and dining room are the finest and will become even better with the makeover planned at a huge cost. 

We are not disclosing details of the new look but you can be sure it will be more impressive, reflecting the elegance, glory and splendor of a bygone era in all its splendid richness, said the Managing Director, RTDC.
