(TRAVPR.COM) INDONESIA - July 3rd, 2013 - The awards were announced at a high profile gala and presentation dinner at the Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on 10 May. Stuart Shield, president of the International Hotel Awards, said, “The entries that we receive from the Asia Pacific region become more impressive year after year. The International Hotel Awards are the international 5-star standard of hotel ratings. It is the only organisation to provide 5-star accolades at an international level. The award winners’ logo is recognised as a symbol of excellence throughout the global industry.

Winners of the regional Asia Pacific Hotel Awards are automatically entered into the overall International Awards, which ultimately determine the world’s finest resorts and hotels. The judging panel consists of about 70 professionals from the property and hospitality industry, jointly chaired by Lord Bates and Sir David Michels, retired Group CEO of Hilton Hotels.

In attaining one of these coveted awards, Alila Villas Soori has proven it has the capability to outperform some exceedingly strong contenders within the competitive Asia Pacific hospitality arena.
