The Makokola Retreat is also moving forward in terms of technology after implementing both the Micros and Opera System within the hotel. This will provide guests with a faster and more convenient service within both the Front Office and F&B departments.

A Guest Relations Department will also be launched this month with the aim to make each experience a memorable one for all guests. The Guest Relations Department will be the forefront of customer service. All employees within the guest relations department have a passion to ensure that hotel guests are provided with an above-and-beyond service to ensure their experience will be worth remembering. This new department will ensure that guests are happy from the moment they step into the hotel, until the moment they leave.

An "Employee of the Month" program has also been launched this month which aims to award front line staff for going above and beyond their normal duties. This month, Donata Chesani in the Gift Shop has been nominated for her positive attitude, punctuality, friendliness, always being proactive and attentive to guests needs.

Finally, the Makokola Retreat is very proud to announce that the construction of the new state of the art conference centre is going well and is set to open in September. The new building will have a large conference venue along with a business centre and three board rooms. This new building will also be surrounded by beautiful gardens and water-features making it the perfect setting to conduct business peacefully.
