Children participating in the most outstanding summer camp in Sharjah, organised by the Coral Beach Resort – Sharjah

(TRAVPR.COM) UAE - July 7th, 2013 - Children participating in the most outstanding summer camp in Sharjah, organised by the Coral Beach Resort – Sharjah, will not only have a fun-filled time away from the scorching heat, but will also get the unique opportunity to learn more about the wildlife in this part of the world and ways to protect the environment.

As part of the activities the Coral Beach Resort – Sharjah organises an excursion every Thursday for the Summer Camp participants, who are taken to places like Children’s Zoo, Arabian Stables or Sharjah Aquarium. These visits are planned to create awareness among the participants about the significance of protecting wildlife.

“The declining number of rare animals across the world and the diminishing values towards animals, animal rights and environment protection have made it quite important to sensitise children towards the cause from an early age,” said Mr Jean Pierre Simon, Regional General Manager, Coral Hotels & Resorts.

He also mentioned that most children are naturally drawn towards animals and an interaction with animals can be an amusing way to learn too.

“Since Sharjah has made efforts to preserve wildlife, especially those related to this region, the selection of venues was not difficult,” he added.

According to Mr Simon, the Sharjah Aquarium is bound to appeal to the children as it encourages the visitors to cherish and conserve the beauty and wealth of the oceans. With over 250 species of marine life, there is so much to see from the smallest clown fish and delicate seahorses to moray eels, rays and reef sharks.

The visit will enable the participants to discover everything from the larger ocean creatures to the smaller marine life native to the seas around the emirate, including those found in the rock pools, coral reefs, lagoons and mangroves.

Similarly, a trip to the zoo would prove to be a fantastic activity as seeing an animal in real is a much more personal and more memorable experience than seeing them on television.

A day at the Arabian Stables will be equally exciting and incredible experience, where children would get to see Arabian horses, who have left their mark on international horse shows.

“These visits will develop a greater understanding of compassion, responsibility and empathy towards animals and their important role in the world. We are confident that children will get motivated to learn more about nature and various ways to preserve it,” added Mr Simon.

The Coral Beach Resort – Sharjah features 156 spacious rooms, many with panoramic sea-view. A major attraction is the wide repertoire of dining options with menus to cater to every taste. The resort is located on one of the emirate’s principal sand beaches and features a range of leisure activities for all ages, including the Rimal Club, state-of-the-art fitness centre, children’s pool, indoor playroom and complimentary Kid’s Club as well as tennis, badminton, volleyball and two outdoor swimming pools.
