MedSailors have announced the addition of Turkey as a sailing holiday destinations during the 2013 sailing season.
(TRAVPR.COM) UNITED KINGDOM - July 11th, 2013 - MedSailors, the leading sailing holiday provider for 20 to 35 year olds, have announced they will add Turkey to its growing list of sailing holiday destinations during the 2013 sailing season.
The Turquoise Coast is well known for its temperate climate, beautiful countryside and influential and recognizable cuisine. This spectacular country also boasts a historic legacy that has helped shape modern culture and society, with famed sights such as Ephesus - one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, multi-faceted Istanbul and the unforgettable white terraces of Pamukkale the living testament to this legacy.
Turkey is less well known for the wonderful coastal towns and villages stretching along it’s southern shores- from Gocek, a short hop from Dalaman, to fishing harbor Fethiye, continuing on to the famed Oludinez and Kas – home to Patara Beach and rare Loggerhead turtles.
Daniel Painter, Managing Director of MedSailors, explained that the expansion to Turkey was a natural path for them to follow. Having spent many holidays sailing in the area with his company co-founders and friends they felt it to be an undiscovered gem in the warm waters of the Mediterranean. “We offer our guests the perfect balance of partying, relaxation, history and sights, and of course sailing. And it doesn’t get any better than Turkey, with warm water, long sunny days, and amazing locations. We are very excited to kick off the season in October”, he explained.
The MedSailors' Sailing Turkey itinerary will run a 7 day return journey from Gocek; taking in historic Kas and Kalkan as well as stunning views from Karacaoren. Also to be included are the villages of Kayakoy and Fethiye and the warm waters of Kapi Creek.
Bookings can be made on their website, with the sailing season in Turkey limited to two weeks in 2013, offering guests the chance to experience Turkish hospitality and a fascinating culture.
