(TRAVPR.COM) UNITED KINGDOM - July 24th, 2013 - Gravity Adventures (Cape Town) and Nkwichi Lodge have put together a very exclusive once in a lifetime expedition trip on the eastern shores of Lago Niassa – the wild side of Lake Malawi.
Starting from Metangula, the most southerly town on the Mozambician side of the lake, the expedition will travel over 100km along some of the most pristine coastline in Africa. Paddling past ancient Rift Valley rock formations and stopping to make camp on some of the many stunning deserted beaches. The group will also have the opportunity to experience the underwater world of the lake. Lake Malawi, home to over 800 species of endemic Cichlids (fish), and the reason why WWF (World Wildlife Fund) have declared Lake Malawi, ‘the most important lake in the world in terms of bio-diversity’ truly makes this expedition a trip of a life time.
Nkwichi offers complete seclusion with eight private beaches making up 4km of pristine coast line. Nkwichi also boasts the softest sand on the lake! With unparalleled snorkelling in the crystal clear water and a backdrop of luscious wilderness complete with game, the experience could only be topped with a unique night under the stars – also available!
The lodge also currently has a special 3 for 2 offer valid July-September. (Terms and conditions apply)
On July 27th The Manda Wilderness Community Trust, run by Nkwihi lodge will also be presenting their fourth annual Choir Festival, a celebration of singing talent, sponsored by the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation. The event is free and open to the all.
