Several Shaner Hotels earned awards of excellence for 2012 from Marriott & Hilton
(TRAVPR.COM) USA - July 25th, 2013 - STATE COLLEGE, PA, July 25, 2013 – Officials of Shaner Hotels, a developer/owner/operator that currently owns and manages 40 hotels, announced that the company earned eight awards of excellence for 2012 from Marriott International, Inc., including two of the top Diamond Circle Awards, at the Marriott Annual CFRST General Manager’s Conference, recently held in Orlando, Florida. Shaner Hotels is also the recipient of the prestigious Hilton Circle of Excellence Award, which is bestowed upon hotels in the top 10% of Hampton Inn & Suites hotels worldwide.
Marriott International Inc. presented awards of achievement for overall guest satisfaction survey results and Marriott Quality Assurance reviews to the following Shaner Hotel properties:
Diamond Circle Award – this is Marriott’s highest award and represents the top 5% of Courtyard and Fairfield hotels worldwide. They also must achieve Green Status on the Marriott Quality Assurance Inspection and have a minimum Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR) Index of 120% and no decline in RevPAR Index vs. year end 2011:
· Courtyard St. Augustine I-85 – St. Augustine, Florida
· Fairfield Inn & Suites St. Augustine I-95 – St. Augustine Florida
Platinum Circle Award – representing the top 5% of Courtyard and Fairfield hotels worldwide in Guest Satisfaction Survey results:
· Courtyard Jacksonville I-295 Northeast – Jacksonville, Florida
· Fairfield Inn & Suites Huntingdon Rt. 22/Raystown Lake, Huntingdon, Pennsylvania
Silver Circle Award – representing the top 20% of Courtyard and Fairfield hotels worldwide in Guest Satisfaction Survey results:
· Courtyard Harrisburg West/Mechanicsburg, -Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania
· Courtyard Newark at the University of Delaware – Newark, Delaware
· Fairfield Inn & Suites - State College, Pennsylvania
Additionally, a Marriott Spirit to Serve Award was presented to the Courtyard Harrisburg West/Mechanicsburg for its fund raising efforts in support of the Children’s Miracle Network.
The Hampton Inn & Suites Miami-South/Homestead is the recipient of another honor, the Hilton Circle of Excellence Award. Presented by Hilton, it recognizes the property as one of the highest performing hotels among nearly 1,800 Hampton properties worldwide for their overall guest satisfaction. It represents the second year the hotel has been recognized for exceptional guest satisfaction performance.
