(TRAVPR.COM) AUSTRALIA - July 31st, 2013 - Visitors to Caloundra on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast may be in for some tough luck if they don’t move quickly to secure an accommodation booking and register for the biggest Tough Mudder event of the year.
The inaugural Tough Mudder on the Sunshine Coast is billed as one of the “toughest challenges on the planet’’ and the first day on August 17 has completely sold out.

Around 20,000 competitors are expected to tackle the gruelling 20km obstacle course with mudpits and electrified fences. The custom built site is located at Caloundra Downs with entry at the end of Racecourse Road.

Spectator tickets are also available online for $20 until 12pm, Friday, August 17, or sold for $40 onsite.
Caloundra tourism industry spokesperson Bill Darby said the region offered a diverse range of accommodation options.
“We offer accommodation to suit every budget, but Tough Mudder is an extremely popular event and people thinking of entering should do so as soon as possible and book a place to stay or they are likely to miss out on their preferred location,” Mr Darby said.
