(TRAVPR.COM) NH NEW HAMPSHIRE - August 7th, 2013 - Lakes Region Tourism Association Announces Winners of Video Contest

Lakes Region, NH – The Lakes Region Tourism Association’s “What Would You Do for a Vacation in the Lakes Region?” video contest ended on Sunday, July 28, 2013. This primarily online contest asked people to submit videos showing what they would do to win a Lakes Region Vacation. The winners were determined by the highest amount of votes from their fans and were in the running for three prizes totaling over $3500.

First place goes to Sara Friedrich from New Hampshire with her video, “Penguin Slide.” Sara’s daughter begins the video by telling the audience that to win a vacation in the Lakes Region, she would let her uncle use her penguin float to go down the waterslide, which he does. Sara wins the grand prize of a seven-day vacation in the Lakes Region for four including lodging at Fireside Inn, Steele Hill Resort and RDC Squam Resort; attraction tickets to Castle in the Clouds, Squam Science Center and Polar Caves; and dining at Weathervane and Common Man.

In second place is Scott Spurlock from Indiana with “I WON’T DO THAT!!!” In his video, Scott shaves the beard he’s had since high school for a chance at a vacation in the Lakes Region. He wins 4 passes to Gunstock Resort’s Aerial Park and a certificate to Patrick’s Pub.

The third place winner is Mathurshan Vimalesvaran from Illinois, whose high-tech video entitled “Just a Couple of Things” shows him changing the TV channel manually, fasting, and living as a rock, among other things in order to win a vacation in the Lakes Region. His prize consists of four M/S Mount Washington Passes and a certificate to T-BONES Great American Eatery.
