(TRAVPR.COM) UNITED KINGDOM - August 28th, 2013 - Bua River Lodge in the NKhotakota Wildlife Reserve, is now offering a complete range of guided walking safaris. Walks are available from short, two-hour strolls along the river, to arduous yet exhilarating 12 hour hikes through the hills, as well as overnight, bush-camping experiences.
Bua River Lodge is a small and unique, owner-managed lodge, where you are sure to feel at home and guaranteed to relax. The lodge is located just two kilometres inside the eastern boundary of Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve in Malawi, making access by saloon car, even during the rains, quite straightforward. The reserve, covering 1,800,000 Hectares, is the third largest protected area in Malawi and one of the least known.
The walking safaris give guests the opportunity to explore this untouched wilderness on foot. Guests have the chance to be guided through wonderful riverside and hilltop scenery, under the protection of an armed game ranger and although you may not see much in the way of the larger mammal species, it’s guaranteed to be a fascinating and informative safari through a beautiful wilderness.
For guests staying at the Bua River Lodge on a full board basis, the price of many of the safaris is included in the room rate.
Of course if trekking through the unknown isn’t quite want you want, Bua River Lodge is a fantastic place to just relax. Set in one of the most beautiful riverside settings in Malawi, with very comfortable and secluded accommodation, this truly is a paradise getaway.
