Hawaii Tour Company Donates $4,000 to Farrington High School Student for Intensive Education Program
(TRAVPR.COM) HAWAII - August 30th, 2013 - Honolulu, Hawai`i – Discover Hawai`i Tours sponsored local student Chance`um Hooke-Kuamo`o to a premiere engineering conference called Lead-America at the University of California Berkeley. Hooke-Kuamo`o was invited by the program because he is exceeding in academics in High School and has intention of attending the University’s Engineering School.
“The Lead-America program will give me the resources and knowledge to pursue a degree in engineering and sets me one step ahead of others when it comes to applying for collage,” said Chance`um Hooke-Kuamo`o.
Lead-America is for motivated students to develop critical success skills and explore career passions outside of the traditional classroom environment. The program has been preparing students for leadership and career exploration for almost 30 years.
