GRAND CANYON TOURS ANNOUNCES FALL BUS TRIP DISCOUNTS
Industry: Tours

As fall quickly approaches, expect to find more discounts on Grand Canyon bus tours, especially on packages that include extra side trips.

(TRAVPR.COM) USA - September 9th, 2013 - Grand Canyon Tours, the leader in National Park tours information, is posting its latest fall deals, including specials that dramatically lower the cost of bus tours from Las Vegas, NV, and Phoenix, AZ.

"Canyon bus tours are one of the most economical ways to visit GNCP," said Keith Kravitz, owner of Grand Canyon Tours. "They include everything a traveler could ask for and then more."

In most cases, according to Kravitz, these trips come with free hotel pick up and drop off, lunch, Park entrance fees, taxes, guide service and more. "Truly, everything's practically done for you," he noted.

Tours depart around 7 a.m. each day of the year, including all major U.S. holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years'. "Rain or shine, sleet or snow, canyon bus tours get you to there comfortably and safely," said Kravitz.

With summer coming to an end, tour operators are dropping their prices to attract more customers. "Now's the time to catch a great deal on these bus rides," said Kravitz. "It's ironic because fall, in my opinion, is the best time to do the National Park, and yet prices are at their lowest."

Las Vegas visitors can choose to visit the West Rim or the South Rim. "The West Rim is perfect for visitors who are looking to add some thrills to their sightseeing," Kravitz noted. "For instance, many upgrade to include tickets to the Skywalk or a helicopter ride to the bottom."

It should be noted that the West Rim is the only place in the entire National Park where helicopters are allowed to fly to the base. "This alone makes the West Rim extra special," said Kravitz. "Making the experience even more intense is to add a boat ride into the mix."

The South Rim is also available to Vegas travelers. It takes 5.5 hours to reach it, but, according to Kravitz, time flies. "Today's buses are the picture of comfort," he noted. "Seats are recliner-style and the A/C is remarkable. Most get off the coach energized and refreshed."

There are a number of bus tours to the South Rim from Phoenix. Many include free pick up/drop off throughout the metro area, including Glendale, Scottsdale and Mesa. "Phoenix trips also include a stop in Sedona before reaching the South Rim," Kravitz pointed out. " And, like trips that originate in Vegas, they, too, can be upgraded to include a rim-to-rim helicopter tour."

New on the scene are semi-private van tours. These vehicles hold a maximum of 12 passengers and are billed as offering a more personalized experience. "Logistics play a big part in standard bus tours, " Kravitz said. "By this, I'm specifically referring to 40 or so people entering and exiting the bus. Vans, by contrast, only have 12 people on-board, so getting on and off is quite quick."

Kravitz added, "Because vans are more efficient, travelers can see and do more, like stop longer at Hoover Dam, take more comfort breaks or go more places within the National Park itself."

Due to prices cuts on bus and van tours, Kravitz advises that travelers should book them prior to getting to Las Vegas or Phoenix. "Rule of thumb is to purchase your seats about a week in advance, he said. "Moreover, do it on the Internet as it ensures that you get the best price possible.
