Bagan Lodge welcomes new General Manager as of the beginning of October.
(TRAVPR.COM) MYANMAR - October 1st, 2013 - Bagan Lodge has just appointed the new General Manager, Jon Bourbaud, as of the beginning of October. Hailing from Australia, Jon brings a wealth of experience having spent more than two decades living and working in Europe and Southeast Asia. Jon moved to Saigon in 2001, pursuing his passion for Asian culture and cuisine. With a background in Food & Beverage and as a Chef, his first General Manager position was (with the Accor group) at the Novotel Resort in Phan Thiet, followed by his tenure at the historic Sofitel Dalat Palace in Vietnam’s central highlands. His most recent post was at the MGallery La Veranda Resort on Phu Quoc Island in the Gulf of Thailand.
Jon is excited to meet the unique challenges and opportunities of Myanmar’s nascent tourism industry whilst exploring the country’s rich cultural heritage. His people-oriented, hands-on management style, combined with his commitment to guest satisfaction will ensure Bagan Lodge is established as a truly international boutique hotel.
