Lakes Region, NH – October in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire is peak fall foliage season. Gorgeous views and mild weather make it a perfect month for being outdoors, whether the activity is hiking, biking, picking your own fruit, or just enjoying the colors of fall.
· Morbid Mountain Halloween Screamfest at Gunstock Mountain Resort in Gilford, NH. 9/28, 10/5, 10/11, 10/12, 10/13, 10/18, 10/19.
· M/S Mount Washington Halloween Masquerade Ball in Laconia, NH. Cruise along Lake Winnipesaukee with a shipload of spooky characters for the best costume ball in New Hampshire, you can even win prizes during the costume competition. Adults 21+ only, leaves from Weirs Beach 7-10pm.
· 15th Annual Autumn Craft Festival at Mill Falls Marketplace in Meredith, NH. October 5-6, 10am-5pm Saturday and 10am-4pm Sunday. Over 100 booths of American-made arts, crafts, specialty foods and live music. Free admission and free parking. Handicap accessible.
· Sandwich Fair’s 103rd Anniversary in Sandwich, NH. October 12-14. Antique car parade, tractor pulls, rides, concessions, fair food, and more.
· Oktoberfest at Loon Mountain in Lincoln, NH. October 12-13. Enjoy peak fall foliage and German culture with a weekend of beer, bratwurst, and oompah music. There will be a stein-holding competition and cornhole tournament for adults, with fun games and a water balloon launching contest for kids.
· 17th Annual Lincoln Fall Craft Festival at the Village Shops, & Town Green in Lincoln, NH. October 12, 13 & 14 Saturday 9-5 / Sunday 9-5 / Monday 9-4. Over 150 booths of American-made arts, crafts, specialty foods & live music. Free admission, rain or shine.
· Leaf Peeper's Arts and Crafts Show at the North Conway Community Center in North Conway, NH.
October 19-20 10am-5pm. Photography, jewelry, fine art, pottery and more. Free Admission.
· Trick or Treat at Tanger Outlets in Tilton, NH. October 25. Participating stores will be giving out treats to shoppers – children under 12 can participate in a costume contest with prizes.
· Castle in the Clouds’ “Treason in the Court” in Moultonborough, NH. A murder mystery dinner theatre at Castle in the Clouds on Saturday, November 2 at 6pm and Sunday, November 3 at 1pm. Reservations required.
