(TRAVPR.COM) USA - October 23rd, 2013 - Soufriere, Saint Lucia, October 21, 2013… Saint Lucia’s Jade Mountain Resort was rated the Top Caribbean Resort in the US Condé Nast Traveler 24th Annual Readers’ Choice Awards. Readers ofConde Nast Traveler also voted for Jade Mountain’s sister property Anse Chastanet which earned a proud Number 5 ranking in the same awards listing.
According to the magazine, “...nearly 80,000 readers- far more than ever before—took part in the survey, casting 1.3 million votes.“
These prestigious awards come on the heels of Jade Mountain receiving the number one placement and Anse Chastanet number two placement in the recent Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards 2013. This is an unprecedented honor for these two independent privately owned properties to be ranked so high in both national magazines.
"To have Jade Mountain and Anse Chastanet so highly rated in these two magazines and to have Jade Mountain voted the number one resort in both magazines with only a few months apart is a dream come true for my wife Karolin and me,” says owner and architect, Nick Troubetzkoy. “We are extremely proud of our resort teams to have made these awards possible by consistently exceeding our guest expectations. On a personal note, as the architect and builder of the resorts, especially Jade Mountain, I am very pleased that my design was able to inspire our guests. It is rewarding to be told by our guests in the many personal comments they leave for us that Jade Mountain provided them with a profound emotional uplift in an environment that will stand out in their minds forever. To me, Jade Mountain feels like seeing the world and our beautiful Saint Lucia Pitons from a magic flying carpet and hopefully this is what our guest’s experience, too."
Jade Mountain and Anse Chastanet enjoy one of the most scenic settings in the Caribbean, overlooking St. Lucia's twin Piton peaks, and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Nestling in a 600-acre estate with two soft sand beaches bordering pristine coral reefs, both resorts are in complete harmony with their natural surroundings.
Anse Chastanet is renowned for its authentic Caribbean appeal with excellent resort based activities ranging from bird watching, mountain biking to scuba diving.
Jade Mountain’s bold architectural design with individual bridges leading to exceptional open walled infinity pool sanctuaries makes it one of the Caribbean’s most mesmerizing resort experiences. In the sanctuaries, bedroom, living area and an extravagant private infinity pool glide into one another to form extraordinary platforms floating out into nature. With the fourth wall entirely absent, Jade Mountain’s sanctuaries are stage-like settings from which to embrace Saint Lucia’s full scenic glory.
