Three-day festival at Goa Sadan will showcase Goan culture, cuisine, music, etc
(TRAVPR.COM) INDIA - October 25th, 2013 - Panaji, October 25, 2013: In a bid to let Delhiites experience the best that Goa has to offer, Goa Tourism in association with Goenkarancho Ekvot, is hosting a three-day festival at Goa Sadan in New Delhi. This was inaugurated on October 25 by the Chief Guest, Dr. Narendra Jadhav, Member of Planning Commission and National Advisory Council, Government of India.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Guest of Honour, Mr. Oscar Fernandes, Hon’ble Union Minister for Road and Highways. The Members of Parliament from Goa, Mr Francisco C. Sardinha, Mr Sripad Naik and Mr Shantaram Naik were also present during the occasion.
This three-day festival is designed to promote and showcase Goa in New Delhi and will highlight authentic Goan cuisine, music and handicrafts. There will be a vast spread of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. An array of cultural programmes featuring traditional songs and dances will also be held. Live Goan Bands like Black Slade, Goa Tronikk – Edwin and Babush Santana Quartet will enthrall visitors with their performances on all three days.
Goan handicrafts will also be on display and sale during the event. Lucky draws will also be conducted and the winners stand a chance to win some attractive prizes which include holiday packages to Goa with a stay at some of the best resorts.
