ABTA - The British travel association has revealed that it has chosen the Slovenian capital Ljubljana to be the hosts of their annual travel convention in 2014.
(TRAVPR.COM) SLOVENIA - November 15th, 2013 - ABTA has revealed that it has chosen the Slovenian capital Ljubljana to be the hosts of their annual travel convention in 2014.
This will be the first time that The Travel Convention has visited Slovenia, a compact but extremely diverse country, with stunning, unspoilt countryside and a spectacular coastline. The capital, Ljubljana is a picture box pretty city and one of Slovenia’s most beautiful areas, Lake Bled, is only a short 55km drive from the city.
Karmen Novarlič, MSc; Director of Slovenian Tourist Board said: “According to the fact we again have a growing trend of number of tourists and their overnights from the UK market and we are looking to get additional flights from the British Isles to Slovenia, the yearly ABTA convention in September 2014 will be a great opportunity to drive more tourists from UK market to Slovenia. Event is of course very important to us, as tourist offer from Slovenia will be presented to the delegates and members of the most respected travel association in the world.”
Noel Josephides ABTA Chairman said: “I am very happy to be able to announce that the Slovenian Tourist Board has agreed to host the 2014 Travel Convention. Slovenia is a beautiful, diverse country and I am looking forward to meeting with delegates in the capital Ljubljana in twelve months’ time.”
