KURUMBA’S LOOKING GLASS
Industry: Hotels

Kurumba Maldives is set on a tropical island in the North Male’ atoll conveniently a brief 10 minute speed boat ride away from the airport. Dotted with coconut trees that are the island’s namesake, Kurumba was the first private island resort in the Maldives. Lush tropical gardens, white sandy beaches and a vibrant house reef are the hallmarks of this classic Maldivian resort.

(TRAVPR.COM) MALDIVES - November 28th, 2013 - Kurumba Maldives could not be any happier with the improved arrival guest experience at its Hibiscus Lounge. The lounge serves as the initial receiving point once guest arrive at the resort.

Upon arrival guests are greeted by a member of its Guest Service team. Welcoming you with a cool crisp hand-towel, scented with lemon grass and a coconut sorbet. (In English, Kurumba translates to the word coconut, which the resort was infamously known for its coconut trees). This is one of many added touches that the resort offers while in residence.

The Hibiscus Lounge has now been enhanced with a new look and feel. The once solid walls have now been converted to glass, resulting in a more vibrant cheerful glow.

It was developed in response to what the resort felt was a need for a refined arrival facility. Guests now have a comfortable place to relax while checking in and discovering the resort orientation, while in hopes of not being too distracted of what awaits in the beauty of its environment, as they peer through the glass walls.

Judit Rosa, Front Office Manager of Kurumba Maldives, commented, "We are always looking for new ways to meet the needs of our customers, and the improved Hibiscus Lounge will add further value to our Guest experience.”

The Hibiscus Lounge can accommodate 14 guests most as a group and is one of the many improved experiences that the resort has to offer for the year.
