Visitors to Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast can enjoy some cool treats over the summer holidays.

The Caloundra Rollerdrome will be converted to an ice skating rink for Rollerdrome on Ice from December 14 to January 26. Fully supervised ice skating runs Monday to Sunday 10am to 12 noon, and 2-4pm in the afternoon. From 6-8pm sessions are held Tuesday and Thursday, and Friday and Saturday nights 6-9pm, excluding Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Learn to skate classes by accredited coaches are hosted from 9-10am Saturday mornings and include a bonus ice skating session from 10-12 noon, excluding December 21 and 28. Recommended minimum age is from four years.

Chief Executive Officer of Sunshine Coast Destination Limited, Simon Ambrose, said the opportunity to try ice skating in air-conditioned comfort offered everyone in the family a break from the summer heat and beach activities.
