Summer 2014 holiday bookings to Majorca on the up.
(TRAVPR.COM) UNITED KINGDOM - March 6th, 2014 - Independent travel agency A1 Travel has announced that their bookings for holidays to Majorca are on the rise, a trend that is echoed by the official statistics released by the local government.
The Balearic Islands Tourism Agency have published a report that shows that over two million tourists flocked to the island from the United Kingdom in the summer of 2013, the highest since records began in 2010*.
The latest announcement from A1 Travel is able to break down these statistics to a more granular level, and indicates that many different groups of travellers are looking for the best deals when it comes to their foreign getaways. The travel agency has observed an increase of bookings all throughout the year, showing that Majorca holidays popular from spring through to autumn.
Families travelling with children are said to be snapping up school holiday deals to all-inclusive hotels; this year the resorts of Alcudia and Calas de Mallorca are proving to be the popular places to stay. Alcudia is widely known for its long beach and gently shelving sand, a positive feature for parents who want to ensure the safety and wellbeing of their children playing near the sea.
A1 Travel have also announced that all-inclusive packages are on the rise in the resorts of Porto Cristo and Palma Nova, this time attracting those who are looking for an adult only hotel in which to spend their holiday.
The news release from the travel agency also demonstrated that high end luxury holidays are in demand, with bargain hunters booking trips for the months of May and October to take advantage of the discounts available outside of the school holiday period.
