Improve your techniques with a 4-week session workshop
(TRAVPR.COM) USA - March 11th, 2014 - Waterville Valley, NH – What makes fly-fishing unique, fly-tying and identifying fish are some of the things you can learn at the ‘Fundamentals of Fly-Fishing’, a four-week session workshop. This class will be held at the Waterville Valley Recreation Department, 11 Noon Peak Road, on Saturday, May 31, June 7, 14 and 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Presented by the NH Fish and Game Department, the “Fundamentals of Fly-Fishing” is a great opportunity to learn the basic techniques, such as rod reel and line assembly, basic equipment, casting instructions, knots, fish habitat, forage, identification and ethics. The workshop fee is $10 per person.
These four-week sessions includes classroom time and also a field trip to round off your fishing experience. All instructors are certified by the NH Fish and Game and bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to help the beginning anglers get started. Presented by Fish & Game and Pemigewasset Chapter Trout Unlimited.
The equipment will be provided but bring your own if you have it – recommended 5/6 weight fly rod & reel, 5/6 weight floating line. The workshop is limited to the first 10 registrants. Must be 10 or over, minors must be accompanied by parents. Hats and glasses are recommended for the casting season.
