April 3rd at Aqua Restaurant
(TRAVPR.COM) IRELAND - March 18th, 2014 - Aqua unveiled a new look restaurant in January of this year with a new chef a little bit under the radar. On Thursday, 3rd April, they will officially launch their new Executive Head Chef Mark Anderson during a charity event to raise funds for building schools in South Africa.
First and foremost to provide some details on the charity
The Niall Mellon Township Trust was established in 2002 to provide homes for the most impoverished communities in the townships of South Africa. Following ten successful years in Cape Town the Charity now plans to help educate children in Africa through an ambitious school building programme.
Volunteers experience life changing events on these expeditions, it is very hands on with no building experience required.
Nelson Mandela was a huge supporter of the Charities work and so to honour one of the greatest men of our time and his humanitarian work, the Niall Mellon Trust will in November 2014 bring a group of Volunteers to Madiba’s Native Eastern Cape for “Mandela’s Tribute School Building Blitz”. Again, no building experience required, just a passion to help others!
“On Thursday, 3rd April 2014, we are thrilled to host this charity event in tandem with the Niall Mellon Trust Fund. The work the volunteers carry out is truly inspiring, we are delighted to be involved in promoting their commitment to making life better for the children of Africa. It promises to be a fun night with Gary Cooke of Après Match fame dictating the menu content to our new Executive Head Chef Mark Anderson. Mark is going to do his best to prep Gary for another shot at Celebrity Master Chef. All for a good cause!, we hope the event will be a huge success in raising money for the Niall Mellon Trust and equally the folks who attend will enjoy meeting Gary and Mark at Aqua”
Charles Smith (Managing Director of Aqua Restaurant)
The event is billed at €50pp, to include a champagne & canapés reception, 3 course meal with a ½ bottle of wine per person followed by relaxed entertainment in our newly refurbished bar with the dulcet tones of Brenda Bourke piano player and singer.
Tickets can be purchased from http://aqua.ie/gift-vouchers/ or by contacting Antoinette Penny (Niall Mellon Trust Volunteer) directly.
