This year, Park Hyatt Goa traces the life journey of Goa’s most beloved fruit, the cashew, through twelve days of festivities from 26th March to 6th April. We have created a whole new dimension to Cashew Trail 2014, from a Cashew Ritual introduced at our award-winning Sereno best Spa in Goa, to an interesting Cashew Feni Cocktail Master Class, and a dinner where each course is artfully paired with a private collection of Feni, Cashew Trail 2014 offers an imaginative selection of events that is an ode to the Goan way of living.

Cashew Feni Cocktail Master Class

Join our talented mixologist for an interactive master class as he conjures up imaginative Urak and Feni-based cocktails such as the Buenísima, Fenirinha and Orange Sunrise to name a few. Learn the tricks of the trade as you experiment with these heady spirits.

Goan Afternoon Tea for Ladies and a Junior Culinary Master Class

The quintessential mid meal indulgence, afternoon tea is refashioned, borrowing from local culinary traditions. Ladies can spend a laidback afternoon with an interesting book reading session by renowned author Katharina Kakarand enjoy our interpretation of afternoon tea. Our chefs’ have passionately crafted decadent confections and delicate savouries using elements of the cashew fruit. The spread of short eats is accompanied by a choice of teas. While the ladies are immersed in this afternoon soirée, our young guestscan get messy with dough and join our Pastry Chef for a fun two hours of cookies preparation and decoration. Exquisite, indeed!

Park Hyatt Masters of Food and Wine – Revisiting Goan Traditions

Park Hyatt Masters of Food and Wine is an event held at the turn of every season, designed to enjoy and pay tribute to local culture, ingredients and flavours. This season, allow us to tell you the story of our heritage through a culinary journey.  A story soused in traditions, of pioneering distillers and family heirloom. Indulge in a five-course Goan degustation dinner where each course is artfully paired with a private and exclusive collection of Feni from the Vaz Estate of Madame Rosa Distillers.

Cashew Ritual at Sereno Spa

Indulge in a unique sensorial spa experience where indigenous ingredients interplay with contemporary luxury spa Goa techniques. Begin your treatment with an intensive cashew scrub, followed by a massage with cold pressed virgin cashew oil. Conclude your treatment with a refreshing cashew nectar drink as you relax and rejuvenate.

Through these twelve days guests can also enjoy innovative Feni cocktails - a Goan twist to all-time favourites at our lounge bar and a sinful menu of creative cashew based desserts at select outlets at holiday resort in Goa. The festivities will culminate with an exclusive Feni Master Tasting evening followed by our annual afternoon celebration the Cashew Trail, where besides the food and cocktails being the highlight, to add on to the fun element a cook-off competition will be held, where men get to show off their culinary skills. This event will be judged by well-known food writer and columnist Karen Anand. Madame Rosa Distillery will also launch their Treasure Island, a one year old premium Cashew Feni. The event will also witness an auction by Madame Rosa Distillery, the proceeds of which will go to COOJ (Cause of Our Joy), an organisation that works towards promoting mental well-being.

Cashew Trail is an annual event that was conceptualised by Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa in association with Madame Rosa Distillery in 2012. The event takes place during harvest season and traces the life journey of one of Goa’s most prominent food elements, the cashew.
