Vegan Amalfi & Cilento Coast Tour with Chef Jason Wyrick

(TRAVPR.COM) MARYLAND - March 25th, 2014 - Join us in Italy as we explore Cilento Park and the history of the South, the Amalfi Coast, and Rome for a week of food, relaxation, and history. The south of Italy is incredibly vegan friendly and also has some of the best food we have ever tasted, with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and unadulterated flavors. Wild foraging, pizza from a wood-burning pizza stove, and a welcoming hospitality await us in the South. Relaxation, inviting blue waters and coastal cities, and limoncello made fresh from regional lemons await us on the Amalfi coast, while cafes, wine, and the history of Rome await us at every turn of the city.

Your vegan tour to Italy will also feature first class accommodations at villas in Cilento Park and the Amalfi Coast and the hotel in Rome, a first class comfortable motor coach, English-speaking guides, all vegan food with opportunities for those who are not entirely vegan to set off on their own. Your tour also includes transfer both from and to FCO International Airport in Rome. When not spending nights being served wine and four course dinners, we’ll be visiting some of the best restaurants in the country and taking cooking classes by NY Times Bestselling Author Jason Wyrick, the Executive Chef of The Vegan Taste and the publisher of the world’s first vegan food magazine, The Vegan Culinary Experience.

Our itinerary for this tour includes two cooking classes, a wild foraging walk and tour of the mountain village of Felitto, a tour of the ancient monastery of Padula, a tour of the Joe Petrosino home, a boat ride and tour of the Five Grottos of the Cape on the Cilento Coast, a tour of Castle Roccadaspide, a visit to the Greek colony of Paestum, a night of wood-fire pizza, two days on the beautiful Amalfi coast, a visit to the artisan markets of Vietri Sul Mare, and a free night to explore Rome.
