Commenting on the figures, Barbara Kolosinska, sales director at C&M Recruitment Consultancy and Chisholm & Moore Executive Recruitment, said: “The sharp annual increase we’ve seen in the number of travel job placements demonstrates how strong the recruitment market has been so far this year.
“It’s fantastic to see so many new appointments, as these means that travel companies are becoming more serious about boosting their team with great new staff members, while candidates are now feeling more confident about their employment situation and are looking to take the next step in their careers.
“We’ve seen a big rise in the number of placements for almost all job types, with the number of business travel, reservations and retail manager appointments being far ahead of the levels that we are used to seeing at this time of year.”
