Guardian Goose, the travel safety app, revolutionizes travel safety.
(TRAVPR.COM) GERMANY - April 5th, 2014 - The Germany based startup, Dynamic Project Group GmbH, starts an indiegogo.com crowd funding campaign to launch the travel safety app Guardian Goose.
Most of us take safe travel for granted, never giving a second thought when entering foreign cars or even taxis. But even in the western civilized world, danger is ever present. This has been evident in recent events in New Zealand, where two young women from Germany, were brutally attacked while hitchhiking along the West Coast (Source: ONE News).
Not only hitchhikers are at risk. Lone travelling business travellers, especially women, are vulnerable to attacks or worse.
Friends, family, and sometimes co-workers, are often left worrying if their loved ones have arrived safe and sound.
Sometimes, a simple thing such as a dead cell-phone battery can cause stress, worry and even panic, as Neal Bruewer, Co-Creator and CEO of Guardian Goose, the travel safety app, tells: “I have been in sales for a long time, which means I travel a fair bit. When I travelled, I made it a habit to call my wife when I arrived at the hotel. On one occasion, my battery went flat on the way to the hotel, just after I had arranged to meet a client straight after arriving. Once there, I realised I had forgotten my charger at home, and a quick ask around for a suitable charger came up empty. Since my business partner was waiting, I decided to find a solution later and concentrate on the business at hand. Later that evening, much to my surprise, the phone of my client rang and he handed it to me, saying I should take the call. On the other end was my panicked wife, having spent the last couple hours calling all of my colleagues, desperately trying to find out what had happened to me.”
For the reason of giving friends, family and colleagues peace of mind, Guardian Goose was developed, with the team currently seeking crowd funding through indiegogo.com.
Guardian Goose allows users to plan trips and split these into sub-trips, such as from the airport to the hotel with a taxi. These trips and sub-trips can then be shared with selected persons, who can then monitor the status of the user and their phone, from anywhere. So if the cell-phone has run out of battery, but you have arrived at your location, this will let loved ones know all is well.
Guardian Goose also offers a number of other security features and measures to keep travellers safe.
Within the app, is a feature for capturing number plates and even a picture of a driver, which is saved safely in the cloud. If Guardian Goose notices that you have veered off the predefined route, then the EAS (Elaborate Alarm System) springs into action, in order to ascertain your safety status.
It only takes a moment to setup a trip to be monitored, but it can save hours of stress, worry and panic.
