RTX Opens Orlando Call Center
(TRAVPR.COM) FL - May 12th, 2014 - Resort Travel & Xchange’s new 5,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility will help to better serve the company’s ever-expanding membership base
Resort Travel & Xchange (RTX) recently opened a new 5,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art call center in Orlando, Florida to help better serve the company’s expanding member base. Currently, the call center specifically services members of the Festiva Adventure Club, RTX’s largest client. RTX now serves more than 60,000 members, including nearly 22,000 Festiva Adventure Club members.
While RTX is primarily an exchange company, it provides multiple channels of operations for its resort and developer clients, including member services and help with delinquent inventory. Festiva Adventure Club is the first client to hire RTX for its member servicing operations, and the additional office in Orlando will enable RTX to expand this service to new clients. “And in addition to allowing RTX to serve a larger number of clients and members,” says Will Horton, RTX president and CEO, “the Orlando office has also allowed RTX to expand its member services hours for Festiva Adventure Club members.”
A Different Kind of Exchange Company
The expansion into the Orlando call center is a vital part of the RTX business model; while other timeshare exchange companies open call centers, RTX operates in an entirely different way. Unlike other exchange companies that affiliate resorts, RTX recruits members instead. RTX allows its members to place search requests anywhere (not only affiliated resorts), after which the dedicated team searches for availability in all resorts and hotels in that area, rather than just in a directory. As a result, RTX members have access to the lowest exchange fees, the flexibility of split-week reservations and the longest deposit period in the entire exchange industry. What’s more, RTX Premium and Premium Plus members have access to our leading exchange system as well as a whole world of travel benefits.
Why Orlando?
RTX chose the Orlando area for its new office because it is the hub of the vacation ownership and timeshare industry. There are several partner resorts as well as RTX members throughout Florida, and this location is a natural complement to RTX’s home base in Asheville, NC.
Orlando also is a key market for recruiting competent and knowledgeable timeshare operations staff members. The opening of the call center increased RTX’s member services staff by more than 30%. Several managers from the Asheville office went to Orlando to help open the new call center, but the majority of the staff was hired directly from the Orlando area.
“We’re very pleased to have a physical presence in the timeshare capital of the world,” Horton states. “Ultimately, it’s good for our company, our partner resorts and our members.”
