Waterville Valley, N.H. – While summer is a great time in NH to get in all your outdoor recreation, be sure to save time for some cultural leisure as well. A perfect example is Waterville Valley Resort’s 4th annual Art, Wine and Cheese fundraising event on Saturday, July 12. This engaging annual event benefits the art and science educational programs of the Margret and H.A. Rey Center and the Curious George Cottage in Waterville Valley.
The event is a community effort with works of art donated by local artists and auctioned off in live and silent auctions. The evening will feature a selection of the wines from local vendors as well as ciders from Farnum Hill Ciders, which can be tasted from 3:00 to 5:45 p.m. The live auction will immediately follow the tasting session. A cheese sampling along with a variety of hors d’oeuvres will be available to compliment the wine tasting.
The Art, Wine and Cheese event will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. under the tent in Town Square, rain or shine. Registration at the door with a fee of $20 per person includes wine tasting (for those 21 or older), complimentary hors d’oeuvres, and an auction number for the art auction which will be run by auctioneer and local golf expert, Mike Aronson.
Art, Wine and Cheese is sponsored by Squam River Landing, Roper Real Estate, Farnum Hill Cider and Town Square. For more information contact the Margret and H. A. Rey Center at (603) 236-3308 or online at thereycenter.org or by email at info@thereycenter.org.
