The US Tennis Association New England event is the one of the most prestigious tennis events of the year. Athletes include top ranked New England and collegiate players who play the eastern summer tennis circuit.
“We have had several players through the years who have been ranked top 100 in the world, so the caliber of tennis is quite good,” says USPTA Director and center owner, Tom Gross, Jr.
Play begins on Friday afternoon, July 18, andcontinues throughout the day Saturday with singles and doubles, and concludes with the semi-finals and finals on Sunday July 20.
“Spectators are welcome all three days at no charge,” says Gross. “There is no better venue for watching tennis than our sunken Rod Laver Arena court, so come on out, bring family and friends, some beverages, and enjoy the great tennis.”
