Summer science and engineering camps for kids begin on July 7. Every week, a new science and engineering adventure will be offered Monday – Friday at the Discovery Center. Camps for five-to-seven year olds focus on the solar system; kids ages eight to fourteen will create rockets, learn to code using Lego Mindstorms and Arduino kits, discover how different branches of science work together to explore space, and venture beyond our solar system to find out more about deep space.  Space is limited in the camps, so families are urged to sign their kids up soon.

The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center features 21st century interactive exhibits on aviation, astronomy, Earth and space sciences, a state-of-the-art planetarium and a variety of science, technology, and engineering and mathematics programs. The engaging, robust educational programs are geared towards families, teens, seniors, students, community groups and lifelong learners. For more information, visit www.starhop.com.
